The Glacier of Nevado Cayambe is melting away!

This Easter we went to the volcano Cayambe (5.970m) to have a nice trekking weekend...
But the idea of a nice green/trekking/nature weekend faded away the minute we arrived!
It is astonishing to see how the glaciers are melting away every single second... this part of the mountain behind the first shelter cottage has almost nothing but soil, dirt and rocks. All the snow melted already and the ice is flowing as water.
I made a couple of pics and a video, so that you see what's happening.

I hope this wakes up some minds and efforts and multiplies the voices and initiatives towards a greener way of life...
